Keitaro vs Binom: Hosting, Landing Pages, and Tracker Costs
Compare Keitaro and Binom by deployment ownership, page-file workflows, complete operating costs, and migration requirements rather than headline license prices.
Keitaro and Binom both document running landing-page files inside the tracker. The buying decision starts with who operates the server, which page workflow you need, and the complete cost of your campaign setup. Compare self-hosted Keitaro with Binom v2 on operating responsibility; evaluate Binom Cloud separately when you want its included server service. A license price is not a complete hosting budget.
This is a Tracked-authored comparison, not an independent ranking. First-party sources were reviewed October 30, 2026. We did not buy competitor plans, run campaigns, or measure speed, uptime, attribution accuracy, or conversion lift.
Keitaro vs Binom at a glance
| Buying question | Keitaro: reviewed installation and Local-page workflow | Binom: v2 self-hosted and Cloud |
|---|---|---|
| Who supplies the server? | The installation guide requires a VPS or VDS. Establish an owner for that deployment. | Self-hosted requires your server; Binom says Cloud includes the server, monitoring, and optimization. |
| Can the tracker serve page files? | Local landing pages support uploaded archives, documented HTML/PHP requirements, and an editing workflow. | Integrated landers accept a ZIP or an index file; the v2 guide also describes fetching a lander by URL. |
| What needs to be included in the budget? | License, suitable server, storage, backups, and operating work for the deployment being compared. | Self-hosted license plus infrastructure and operating work; Cloud requires confirmation of subscription cadence and service scope. |
| How should domain and team needs be compared? | Confirm the Individual or Business plan and the required users and domains. | The pricing page advertises unlimited users and domains. Confirm installation licensing and infrastructure capacity separately. |
| Does moving the campaign transfer old attribution? | No transfer is established by the installation or Local-page documentation. | Page import and a new tracker deployment do not establish historical click or conversion migration. |

This comparison describes the documented workflows reviewed, not every product or service either vendor may sell. In particular, reviewing Keitaro's self-hosted installation does not prove that no other deployment arrangement exists.
Start with server ownership, not the lowest headline price
A self-hosted tracker needs an operating plan. Decide who handles installation, updates, backups, restoration, certificates, credentials, disk growth, and incidents during paid traffic.
Keitaro's installation guide explicitly requires a server. Binom's pricing FAQ distinguishes customer-supplied hosting from Cloud, which includes the server, monitoring, and optimization. Binom also advertises installation assistance and interface-based updates. Assistance can reduce work without eliminating ownership of a customer-supplied server.
Ask each vendor the same questions:
- Who notices a full disk or expired certificate?
- Who can restore the tracker, and what evidence shows a restore is usable?
- What happens to landing pages and callback receipt during an incident?
- Which operating tasks are included, and which require a separate provider?
- What written support and recovery terms apply to the plan?
Cloud is an operating arrangement, not proof of a particular response time or recovery guarantee. Self-hosted is a deployment choice, not proof that the total bill is lower.
Compare the page files you actually run
Both reviewed products can do more than store an external landing-page URL. That matters if your reason for switching is to keep page files closer to campaign management.
Keitaro Local landing pages
The Local-page guide documents ZIP upload and separate requirements for HTML and PHP entry files. It also describes the editor, page integration, offer links, and form handling.
Before committing, inspect the files you own. Check entry-file names, relative asset paths, scripts, forms, outbound links, and server-side dependencies. Do not assume a page built for a different runtime works unchanged because both systems accept an archive.
The documentation contains different execution-time statements in its requirements and troubleshooting sections. If your page depends on slow server-side calls, obtain a current limit rather than turning either number into a blanket promise.
Binom integrated landing pages
Binom's v2 guide documents an integrated lander using a root index file or ZIP, with a stated archive maximum of 20 MB. It explains token replacement and the offer-link token used by the page.
Its description of avoiding an additional redirect is a vendor explanation of the mechanism, not a speed benchmark we performed. Whether the deployment fits your page still depends on its code, assets, dependencies, and actual campaign path.
For the broader choice between serving files and linking to an external page, read hosted, proxy, and redirect landing pages.
Price the deployment, not two unrelated plan labels
Use a complete cost worksheet:
| Cost component | What to establish before purchase |
|---|---|
| Software | Exact edition, plan, installation count, renewal terms, and billing cadence |
| Infrastructure | Server, storage growth, backups, network charges, and any managed service |
| People | Who owns maintenance and recovery; outside help actually required |
| Campaign requirements | Users, domains, permissions, retention, and the required provider workflows |
| Switching | Domain transition, overlapping subscriptions, exports, and delayed conversions |
The reviewed Keitaro pricing page displays a Yearly selection alongside per-month labels. Those labels should not be presented as verified monthly-billed commitments.
Binom's pricing page shows multiple self-hosted price figures and a separate Cloud card. The extracted copy does not establish every billing relationship clearly. Confirm the applicable invoice and renewal cadence before comparing totals. Its trial cards and generic FAQ also differ; confirm the trial for the edition you intend to use.
We have not calculated a break-even traffic level. That would require verified billing terms, a hosting quote, a realistic workload, and an operating-cost assumption. An unlimited licensing statement does not mean unlimited server resources.
Compare routing and feedback as separate buying requirements
Write down what you need the tracker to decide: a user-configured traffic split, a conditional route, repeat-visitor handling, or automatic weight adjustment. Then ask the vendor to document that exact behavior for the proposed edition.
Do the same for conversions. Recording a network callback and sending an accepted conversion to an ad platform are separate workflows. A logo, token field, or successful callback receipt does not establish automatic event mapping, consent handling, deduplication, or ad-platform attribution.
Use native integrations, postbacks, and conversion APIs to separate those requirements before comparing feature names.
Choose using a decision checklist
Shortlist Keitaro when its documented Local-page workflow and plan boundaries fit the files, users, and domains you need, and you can own the installation being evaluated.
Shortlist Binom v2 self-hosted when its licensing model, integrated landers, and documented deployment fit your requirements, with a named infrastructure owner.
Evaluate Binom Cloud separately when you want the included server service rather than a customer-supplied deployment. Confirm service limits and recovery terms; do not substitute the self-hosted license price.
If neither matches your day-to-day workflow, Keitaro alternatives and Tracked vs Binom provide different comparison paths. They are not evidence that one product wins every use case.
Frequently asked questions
Is Binom only self-hosted?
No. Its pricing page separately lists Binom Cloud and says the service includes the server, monitoring, and optimization. Confirm the Cloud contract rather than applying self-hosted assumptions.
Can Keitaro and Binom host landing-page files?
The reviewed Keitaro Local-page and Binom integrated-lander guides both document uploaded page files. File acceptance does not prove identical runtime support or that an existing funnel can be moved unchanged.
Which is cheaper, Keitaro or Binom?
There is no supported universal answer here. Compare the required edition, actual billing cadence, infrastructure, users, domains, and operating work. Do not compare an annual monthly equivalent with a monthly invoice.
Will my historical click IDs move to the new tracker?
Do not assume so. Existing IDs refer to the system that issued them. Confirm supported migration behavior and preserve an authorized callback path for outstanding conversions before retiring the old deployment.
Where Tracked is today
If your main requirement is a report-to-page-edit workflow rather than operating a tracker server, Tracked is another option to evaluate. Its currently supported core includes hosted HTML/ZIP pages, page editing, conditional and user-configured weighted routing, conversion postbacks, reports, and journeys. It is not presented here as a Keitaro or Binom history importer or a feature-equivalent replacement.
Universal CAPI, automatic winner selection, and governed cross-device attribution are not promised as available. Provider feedback has its own setup and status boundaries; catalog allowances are not verified enforced capacity.
