Tracked vs. Binom: hosted workflow and tracker infrastructure
A practical Binom alternative comparison: decide who should run the tracker infrastructure, then evaluate page editing, routing, postbacks, and reporting on one campaign.
Tracked is worth evaluating as a Binom alternative when you want a managed campaign workspace with hosted pages, visual editing, routing, and conversion reports. Binom is a stronger fit when running the tracker on your own infrastructure is a requirement. Binom also offers cloud plans, so avoiding server administration is not, by itself, a reason to switch.
Both products bring landing pages into the tracker. Compare infrastructure responsibility and your daily campaign workflow. Official Binom sources were checked October 4, 2026; this is not a speed benchmark.
Compare three deployment choices, not two
Binom offers self-hosted and cloud versions. Compare both with Tracked's managed workflow:
| Decision | Tracked | Binom self-hosted | Binom Cloud |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tracker infrastructure | Managed service; you configure campaigns and domains | Runs on a server you supply | Vendor includes the server, monitoring, and optimization |
| Landing pages | Hosted HTML/ZIP pages and visual editing; proxy and redirect modes also available | Integrated landing storage and editing advertised by Binom | Evaluate Binom's integrated landing workflow in the cloud plan |
| Traffic routing | User-configured weights and conditional rules for pages and offers | Paths, rules, and rotations documented | Confirm the required routing setup in your chosen plan |
| Conversion review | Incoming postbacks, reports, and event journeys | Incoming postbacks, reports, and configurable status schemes | Evaluate the same required callback and reporting cases |
| Main buying question | Does the managed report-to-page-edit workflow fit your campaign? | Do you want infrastructure control and accept operating responsibility? | Does Binom's workflow fit without operating your own server? |
These workflows are not identical. Compare editors, report dimensions, permissions, and callback processing on your campaign.
Decide who is responsible when the tracker needs attention
Binom's installation documentation describes a dedicated server or VPS-style setup rather than ordinary shared hosting. Treat the installation guide as version-specific guidance; confirm requirements for the version you intend to deploy.
Name the person responsible for capacity, backups, recovery, and server access. Decide who covers their absence. These are operational questions, not claims that Binom cannot help.
Binom advertises installation assistance and interface-based updates, but your server remains your responsibility. Its pricing FAQ says cloud plans include the server, monitoring, and optimization.
If infrastructure control is unnecessary, compare Binom Cloud with Tracked directly. Evaluate diagnosing a missing conversion and making a page change. Do not assume the answer from the hosting label.
Both products let you bring pages into the tracker
Binom advertises integrated landings: storing and editing pages inside the tracker. Page ownership is not exclusive to Tracked.
Tracked supports importing HTML files or ZIP archives into its hosted workflow. You can edit hosted HTML visually, configure page and offer routing, receive conversion postbacks, and inspect reports and event journeys in the campaign workspace.
After checking which offer a visitor reached, a buyer may need to change the hosted page's link or copy. Evaluate that complete task rather than counting editor features.
Hosting mode matters too. A redirected external page remains an external page; choosing redirect mode does not make its content editable inside Tracked. Proxy delivery has different upstream dependencies. Use the hosted, proxy, and redirect guide before selecting a mode.
Compare operating cost, not mismatched volume labels
Use Binom's live pricing and Tracked's pricing section. Binom's extracted price cards did not clearly establish billing cadence, so exact prices are omitted.
Compare self-hosted Binom's subscription, server expense, and operational work with Binom Cloud's included infrastructure service. For Tracked, review the applicable plan and campaign usage allowance.
Do not treat a click allowance and an event allowance as interchangeable. Ask what each product counts, which traffic contributes to usage, and what happens at the applicable limit. Neither a headline price nor an advertised capacity figure proves which option costs less for your funnel.
Evaluate one campaign before moving the rest
Pick a campaign whose page files, offer destination, and network callback you understand. Keep a written copy of its current configuration. Rebuild the workflow in the candidate tracker rather than assuming settings or historical reports will transfer.
- Page and domain: import the page and assets, or choose the appropriate external-page mode. Confirm the intended campaign domain, forms, disclosures, and offer links.
- Routing: reproduce the eligibility conditions and assigned page/offer weights. Check the default route as well as the conditional route.
- Click ID: confirm which identifier reaches the affiliate network and which callback parameter returns it. Different trackers' identifiers are not substitutes for one another.
- Conversion handling: check the callback, payout, conversion type, and any later status changes your network sends. A first sale callback is not the whole workflow for rebills or rejected leads.
- Report review: compare equivalent dates, time zones, filters, and conversion definitions. Follow a known click through to its selected page, offer, and conversion where available.
- Daily edit: make one representative page or routing change. Record who needs access and whether the buyer can complete it without a separate infrastructure handoff.
The campaign setup guide and postback guide explain Tracked's configuration boundaries.
Keep the previous tracker available for callbacks tied to its existing clicks during a transition. Agree on that transition with the affiliate network before changing callback destinations. This article does not promise historical-data import or automatic migration.
When Binom is the better fit
Choose self-hosted Binom when control over the server environment is a firm requirement and your team can operate it. Staying with Binom can also be sensible when existing campaigns depend on its documented postback status schemes, API, or user permissions.
Those dependencies deserve review before any move. Tracked's incoming postbacks do not establish equivalent status-processing logic. A team workspace does not establish identical permissions. If your only objection is maintaining a server, evaluate Binom Cloud before rebuilding working campaigns elsewhere.
Where Tracked is today
Tracked's current workflow includes hosted page files, custom domains, visual editing, user-configured weighted routing, incoming conversion postbacks, reports, and event journeys. Start with weighted offer routing if distributing traffic is your immediate task.
Spend sync and outbound conversion support vary by provider. Do not read generic postbacks as universal native integration support. Automatic winner selection and complete cross-device attribution are product directions, not promises made by this comparison.
This guide does not establish uptime, latency, security-policy equivalence, or complete Binom feature parity. Use your own campaign requirements to resolve those questions before committing traffic.
Frequently asked questions
Is Binom only self-hosted?
No. Binom offers self-hosted and cloud options. Its pricing FAQ says cloud plans include the server, monitoring, and optimization.
Does Tracked uniquely host and edit landing pages?
No. Binom also advertises integrated landing storage and editing. Try the same page change in both products before deciding which fits.
Can I move my Binom campaigns and history automatically?
Automatic campaign or history import is not established here. Recreate one campaign, verify callbacks, retain earlier records, and plan how to handle old-click callbacks.
Is Tracked cheaper than Binom?
There is no supported blanket answer. Compare current subscriptions, usage definitions, infrastructure costs, and operational work for your campaign.
Try the workflow without moving every campaign
Start free — early access. Use your invite or request access, then evaluate one campaign within the applicable free allowance. Check current pricing before sending production volume.
You do not need to abandon a working Binom setup to see whether Tracked's managed workflow fits.
