MaxBounty offer tracking: connect CPA leads to ads and landing pages

Connect MaxBounty lead and sale notifications to the ads, pages, and offer clicks that generated them, then compare campaigns using your own results.

MaxBounty tells you which campaign earned a commission. Tracked connects the returned conversion to the ad, landing page, and offer click you sent. For a paid CPA campaign, that connection helps you decide which page and traffic segment deserve more spend.

The setup has two jobs: pass a Tracked click ID into the MaxBounty affiliate link, then have MaxBounty return that value through an affiliate callback. A campaign label or a network-wide EPC figure cannot replace that click-level match.

Start with an approved offer and the right traffic type

Choose the MaxBounty offer you will actually run. Confirm your approval, allowed countries, permitted traffic source, payable action, and payout terms in the offer details. MaxBounty's affiliate training covers campaign selection, advanced tracking with sub-IDs and callbacks, and reporting.

Save the link generated for your selected campaign and promotion method. Add it as the offer destination in Tracked. Keep the source's ad URL separate: an ad should enter through the campaign path you intend to measure, while the MaxBounty link is the downstream offer destination.

For a prelander, the flow is:

Ad → Tracked campaign URL → hosted or proxied page → /click/1
→ MaxBounty affiliate link with stored Tracked click ID
→ qualifying action → affiliate callback → Tracked conversion

If you send traffic directly to the offer, test the campaign's direct offer route instead. You will not have a prelander click-through metric when there is no prelander.

Map the external click ID before buying traffic

Use the MaxBounty sub-ID field your current campaign link and callback settings support. Put Tracked's {{click.id}} macro into that field. The macro resolves when Tracked sends the offer click to the network.

The field name and returned callback placeholder are an account contract. Copy them from MaxBounty's current advanced tracking controls or confirm them with your affiliate manager. The public training documents the sub-ID/callback workflow, but this guide does not invent a universal field name or macro for every campaign configuration.

DirectionWhat to configureWhat to verify
Tracked → MaxBountyExternal click-ID field on the approved affiliate link contains {{click.id}}.Final offer URL contains a real Tracked ID in that exact field.
MaxBounty → TrackedAffiliate callback returns the stored sub-ID as Tracked's click_id.Delivered request contains the same ID, with the provider macro expanded.
Optional payoutReturn the documented affiliate commission amount as payout.Amount is numeric, uses the expected currency, and matches the payable action.

Tracked's receiver follows this pattern:

https://YOUR_TRACKED_DISPATCHER_HOST/postback?click_id=RETURNED_TRACKED_ID

RETURNED_TRACKED_ID is an explanation of the value, not a macro to paste into MaxBounty. Replace it with the exact MaxBounty callback placeholder that returns your chosen sub-ID. Use the public Tracked campaign host, not app.tracked.it.

Configure the affiliate callback at the right scope

MaxBounty's published tracker setup describes a Global postback setting reached through the profile menu. Its example is for Voluum, so use it to understand callback scope rather than copying a Voluum URL or token into Tracked. Confirm the current labels and available campaign-specific options in your account.

A global callback can receive activity from several offers. Before enabling it, identify which traffic uses Tracked IDs and which uses another tracker. If you are migrating, old conversions must return to the tracker that issued the old ID. Isolate configurations or use a verified routing bridge if one global callback cannot serve both cohorts correctly.

Keep the initial Tracked primary-sale callback untyped. The current generic handler records payout on the untyped primary conversion; explicitly typed callbacks are secondary funnel signals with zero payout. If you need a separate lead, sale, or downstream event, test the intended meaning before enabling each template. The postback setup guide explains the receiving contract.

Prove one CPA conversion end to end

  1. Open a fresh Tracked campaign visit using the ad's intended entry path.
  2. Follow the offer CTA and inspect the final MaxBounty URL. Save the resolved Tracked click ID.
  3. Use an authorized test procedure agreed with MaxBounty or your affiliate manager. Do not create arbitrary production conversions to test reporting.
  4. Inspect callback delivery and confirm Tracked resolves that exact ID to the right campaign, page, and offer.
  5. Compare the recorded conversion and payout with the network's report for that action. Check duplicate delivery separately before replaying a callback.

When the network records a conversion but Tracked does not, first check the stored sub-ID and callback expansion. When Tracked records an event but the payable amount differs, investigate event meaning, payout terms, currency, and approval state. Those are different failures and need different fixes.

Compare offers using your own traffic

MaxBounty's FAQ describes network EPC as an average rather than a guarantee of what your traffic will earn. Compare your own offers using the same source, audience, geography, page, event window, and click denominator.

Tracked lets you keep the page's CTA stable while assigning eligible offers and weights behind a click slot. That makes an offer test easier to interpret. Keep landing-page changes separate from offer changes when you want to identify which decision affected the outcome.

For CPA lead offers, a submitted form, a network conversion, and a payable lead can have different meanings. Reconcile quality and payout feedback with the network before treating every notification as final revenue. See lead-generation conversion tracking for that event chain.

Where Tracked is today

Tracked provides click IDs, hosted pages, offer routing, generic GET postbacks, and campaign reports. This guide uses MaxBounty's sub-ID and affiliate callback workflow. It does not claim a native MaxBounty account connector, offer import, automatic approval-state synchronization, or automatic reversal handling. Verify your link fields, callback placeholder, and payable event in the account before launch.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track MaxBounty offers without owning the advertiser's checkout?

Yes, when MaxBounty can store your Tracked click ID and return it in an affiliate callback. You configure the network link and callback rather than placing a pixel on a checkout you do not control.

Which MaxBounty macro should I paste into the Tracked postback?

Use the callback placeholder that returns the sub-ID field carrying the Tracked ID. Verify that pair in your current MaxBounty tracking controls or with your affiliate manager. Do not substitute a campaign ID, affiliate ID, or another tracker's click token.

Does Tracked import MaxBounty offers automatically?

This setup does not assume an account connector or automatic import. Add the approved affiliate link, configure the click-ID field, and test the callback for that offer.

Should I choose the offer with the highest network EPC?

Use network EPC as context. Your own audience, page, costs, payout terms, and approval rate determine the result of your campaign. Compare like-for-like traffic before changing weights.
